Phase 1: The Cheia Representative Basin (socio-economic aspects), sensibility to floods of the area
Phase 2: Collection of data from the local hydrometric network existent at Cheia
Phase 3: Warning procedures of the population and tourists from Cheia in case of flash floods.
Phase 4: Preparation and testing of the educational programme through the instruction of the population in case of floods
and loss mitigation methods (including the operation of the warning system)
Phase 5: Dissemination of the experience accumulated within the project for other areas prone to flash floods
Phase 6: The drawing up of the technical and financial report
Final result
It was elaborated a report containing the adaptation modality of the warning system and education of the population in case of flash floods. The results will serve as model for river basins with similar physical – geographical conditions. [click here to see the original report]
